Obituary of Lanora Lee Churchill

Lanora (Nora) was born in Seattle, WA at Columbus Hospital which later became St. Francis Cabrini Hospital to Laverne Wakefield and Grace Dalton Wakefield. Her father was a pioneer in the fishing industry in Washington and Alaska founding Apex Fish Company and Wakefield King Crab. Her mother’s family were doctors, nurses and lawyers.

She was raised in East Capitol Hill in the Madrona neighborhood with 3 brothers and 3 sisters and attended Holy Names Academy.

Nora married Joseph W. Dahlem at 18. Nora and Joe raised their 4 children on Lake Dolloff in Federal Way, WA.

She met Lee Churchill in 1976 and they began a new life together. They married November 1977. She went back to school and completed her Bachelor of Arts at Fairhaven College in Bellingham in June 1993.

Nora is survived by her husband of 46 years Lee Churchill. Her surviving children, Joe Dahlem (Susan) and Mike Dahlem (Susie). Mary Anne and Jimmy are not forgotten. Grandchildren Charly, Justin, Kate, Hayley, Hannah, Lloyd.  Grandchildren from Lee’s family, Matthew, April, Ryan, Creighton, Lisa, Summer, Travis.Great grandchildren Madison, Mystery, Hayden, Colten and 2 on the way!

She loved a good story, her family and gardening.
